Kisainfo ja osallistuminen

Kite Life WKND tapahtuman järjestäjänä toimii leijasurffaus.fi.

Tapahtuma-aika: pe 16.- su. 18.6.2023

  • Kilpailupäivä on SUNNUNTAI.
  • Perjantai varattu vapaaseen harjoitteluun.
  • Mikäli kyseiselle viikonlopulle 16-18.6.2023 ei osu laisinkaan tuulta, siirtyy kilpailu kaksi viikkoa eteenpäin, juhannuksen jälkeiselle viikonlopulle pe 30.6. – su 2.7.2023.


Kilpailupäivä varmistetaan tällä sivulla edellisenä päivänä klo 20:00 mennessä, jolloin myös kerrotaan alustava kilpailupaikka.

Kilpailupaikka määräytyy tuulen mukaan seuraavista vaihtoehdoista.

Camping Silversand
Tulliniemen ranta (tällä hetkellä todennäköisin)
4TT (Neljäntuulen tupa)

Kilpailuun ilmoittautuminen tapahtuu ennakkoon tästä linkistä.

Ilmoittautuminen tulee tehdä viimeistään ennen lauantain kipparikokousta.
Osallistumismaksu 35€, sisältää saunan käytön perjantaille ja lauantaille.
Ilmoittatuminen kilpailuun on myös mahdollista paikan päällä pe 16.6. klo 16:00 – 18:00 sekä la 17.6. klo 9:00 – 10:00 välisenä aikana kisatoimistolla Camping Silversandissa. Tällöin osallistumismaksu on 35€.
Osallistumismaksu maksetaan verkossa tämän sivun kautta.

Competition Info and How to Participate

The Kite Life WKND event is brought to you by leijasurffaus.fi.

Event Dates: Friday, June 16th – Sunday, June 18th, 2023.

  • The competition is scheduled for SATURDAY, with Sunday designated as the reserve day. 
  • Friday is dedicated to training and preparation.
  • In the event of unfavorable wind conditions during the weekend of June 16-18, 2023, the competition will be rescheduled to the weekend following Midsummer, which is two weeks later on June 30th – July 2nd, 2023.

The exact competition day will be confirmed on this page by 20:00 the day before. At that time, we’ll also announce the preliminary competition location.

The competition location will be determined based on wind conditions and can be one of the following options:

  • Camping Silversand
  • Tulliniemi beach
  • 4TT (Four-wind cabin)


To participate in the competition, you need to register using the link provided below.

  • The participation fee is €35, which includes access to the sauna on Friday and Saturday.
  • If you prefer to register on-site, you can do so at the competition office in Camping Silversand on Friday, June 16th, from 16:00 to 18:00, or on Saturday, June 17th, between 9:00 and 10:00. In this case, the participation fee is €35.
  • The participation fee should be paid online through this page.

Kokonaiskilpailu (yhdistetty kilpailu)

Kipparikokous järjestetään kisapäivänä klo 10:00 – 10:30. Kisapäivä ilmoitetaan virallisella Telegram kanavalla sekä täällä torstaina 15.6.2023 klo 20 mennessä.

Kilpailuaikataulu:

Kilpailusuoritus on suoritettava kilpailupäivänä klo 11.00-17.30 välillä.
Kaikki tulokset tulee ilmoittaa kilpailutoimistoon klo 18 mennessä.
Kilpailija voi uusia suorituksensa niin usein kun hän kilpailuaikana haluaa sen tehdä, ja ne voidaan tehdä missä tahansa järjestyksessä. Tämä tarkoittaa, että kilpailijoilla on koko päivä aikaa parantaa omaa suorituskykyään ja näyttää parhaita taitojaan.
Tapahtumapaikan tiedot:

Tarkat kilpailupaikat päätetään kipparikokouksessa, joka pidetään kilpailupäivän aamuna klo 10:00 tukikohdassa Camping Silversandissa. Kiinnitä huomiota tämän tapaamisen aikana annettuihin ohjeisiin, jotta tiedät, missä sinun tulee suorittaa. Osallistuja, joka ei ole paikalla tässä kipparikokouksessa hylätään automaattisesti.

Suoritukset/tulokset:

Kilpailun hyppyjen korkeus, pituus ja ilma-aika mitataan SURFR-sovelluksella. Jokaisen osallistujan on ladattava tämä sovellus puhelimeen tai kelloon. Sovellus seuraa ja tallentaa hyppysi tarkasti. Lisäksi kuka tahansa voi seurata kilpailua livenä sovelluksen kautta.

Ratakilpailun aika mitataan Sports Tracker -sovelluksella. Kilpailijoiden on ladattava tämä sovellus laitteilleen. Se seuraa heidän suorituskykyään ja määrittää kilpailun lopulliset tulokset.

Suoritus tulee olla rekisteröitynä puhelimessasi kilpailuun varattuna aikana, kipparikokouksessa määritellyllä spotilla.

Opettelethan sovellusten käytön hyvissä ajoin ennen kilpailua. 

Sinulla tulee olla profiili valmiiksi luotuna surfr app sovelluksessa. 

Kilpailija on itse vastuussa puhelimen toiminnasta.

Odotamme innoissamme teidän huippusuorituksianne ja jännitämme yhtä paljon kuin te, sitä kuka tulee ykköseksi missäkin kategoriassa.

Muista ladata tarvittavat sovellukset, osallistua kipparikokoukseen ja olla valmis antamaan kaikkesi!

The briefing for participants will be conducted on the race day from 10:00 to 10:30. The specific race day will be announced on the official Telegram channel and here on Thursday, 15th June 2023, by 20:00.

Competition Schedule:

The competition must be completed on competition day between 11:00 and 17:30. All results must be reported to the competition office by 6 p.m. at base in Camping Silversand. Competitors may attempt to improve their performance multiple times during the competition, and these attempts can be made in any order. This grants competitors the entire day to enhance their own performance and demonstrate their skills to the best of their abilities.

Venue Information:

The precise race locations will be determined during the briefing, which will take place on a competition day morning at 10:00 a.m. at the base. It is crucial to pay attention to the instructions provided during this meeting to ensure that you know where to perform. Failure to attend this briefing will result in automatic disqualification.

Performances/Results:

The height, length, and airtime of jumps in the competition will be measured using the SURFR application. Each participant must download this app on their phone or watch. The app accurately tracks and records jumps. Additionally, anyone can follow the competition live through the app.

The time for the track race will be measured using the Sports Tracker application. Competitors must download this app on their devices. It tracks their performance and determines the final results of the competition.

Performances must be recorded on your phone during the designated competition time at the location specified in the briefing.

Please ensure that you are familiar with the operation of these applications well in advance of the competition.

It is necessary to have a pre-existing profile created in the SURFR app.

Competitors are responsible for the functioning of their phones.

We eagerly anticipate your outstanding performances and share in your excitement to witness who emerges victorious in each category.

Remember to download the required applications, attend the briefing, and be prepared to give your utmost effort!

Kite Life WKND – kilpailun säännöt

Kilpakategoriat ovat

Hyppy (korkeus)
Hypyissä lasketaan kolmen (3) parhaan hypyn korkeuden keskiarvo, jonka mukaan sijoitus määräytyy.
Hyppy tulee mitata surfr-app sovelluksella.
Sijoitus huomioidaan myös overall kilpailussa.
3 parasta sijoitusta palkitaan.

Hyppy (pituus)
Pisin surfr-app rekisteröimä hypyn pituus voittaa tämän kategorian.
Hyppy tulee mitata surfr-app sovelluksella.
Sijoitus huomioidaan vain overall kilpailussa.
Ei erillistä palkintoa.

Hyppy (hangtime)
Pisin surfr-app rekisteröimä hypyn hangtime voittaa tämän kategorian
Hyppy tulee mitata surfr-app sovelluksella.
Sijoitus huomioidaan vain overall kilpailussa.
Ei erillistä palkintoa.

Ratakilpailu (aika)
Ratakilpailussa nopein aika voittaa. Suoritusten määrää ei ole rajoitettu.
Vain kilpailijan nopein aika otetaan huomioon.
Hyppy tulee mitata sport tracker sovelluksella.
Suorituksen ajanotto aloitetaan rannalla. Leija saa olla nostettuna, mutta lauta on oltava maassa kun kilpailija käynnistää sovelluksen.

Ajanoton saa pysäyttää kun kilpailija on tullut takaisin rantaan ja laskenut laudan maahan. Leija saa olla ilmassa.
Kilpailija saa käyttää haluamaansa lauta- sekä leijatyyppiä.

Suoritusaika ja järjestys:
Kilpailu alkaa klo 11:30 ja päättyy klo 17:30.
Kilpailuaika on yhteensä 6 tuntia.
Kilpailijalla on koko kilpailuaika käytettävissään suoritusten tekemiseen, suoritusjärjestyksellä ei ole kilpailussa merkitystä.

Tulosten rekisteröinti:
Kilpailijan tulee ilmoittaa surfr-app tuloksensa klo 18:00 mennessä sähköisesti kipparikokouksen aikana kerrotun verkkosivuosoitteen kautta.
Ratakilpailun tulos tulee käydä näyttämässä kilpailutoimistossa.

Klo 18:00 jälkeen ilmoitettuja tuloksia ei oteta huomioon.

Kilpailija on itse vastuussa siitä, että hänen puhelimessa on riittävästi virtaa kilpailusuoritusten tallentamiseksi sekä kilpasuorituksen todentamiseksi kilpailutoimistossa.

Overall kilpailu:
Overall-kilpailuun huomioidaan vain ne kilpailijat, joilla on suoritus kaikista neljästä kilpakategoriasta.
Tasatuloksissa ratakilpailun korkeampi sijoitus ratkaisee voittajan.

Kite Life WKND – Competition Rules

Race Categories:

Jump (Height):

The ranking in this category is determined based on the average height of the competitor’s three (3) best jumps.
Measurements of the jump must be recorded using the surfr-app.
The ranking in this category is also considered in the overall competition.
The top three positions will receive awards.

Jump (Length):

The competitor with the longest jump length, as recorded by the surfr-app, wins in this category.
Measurements of the jump must be recorded using the surfr-app.
The ranking in this category is only considered in the overall competition.
No separate award will be given.

Jump (Hangtime):

The competitor with the longest hangtime during a jump, as registered by the surfr-app, wins in this category.
Measurements of the jump must be recorded using the surfr-app.
The ranking in this category is only considered in the overall competition.
No separate award will be given.

Track Race (Time):

The winner in the track race category is the competitor with the fastest time.
There is no limit to the number of performances a competitor can make.
Only the competitor’s fastest time will be taken into account.
Measurements of the race time must be recorded using the Sports tracker application. Link here
The timing starts on the beach. The competitor may raise the kite, but the board must be on the ground when the competitor starts the app.
The time trial may be stopped when the competitor returns to the shore and lowers the board to the ground. The kite may remain in the air.
The competitor can use any type of board and kite.

Competition Time and Order:

The competition starts at 11:30 and ends at 17:30, with a total duration of 6 hours.
Competitors have the entire competition time to perform their performances, and the order of performance is not important in the competition.
Registration of Results:

Competitors must electronically report their surfr-app results by 18:00 via the website address provided during the skipper’s meeting.
The results of the track race must be presented at the competition office.
Results announced after 18:00 will not be taken into account.
Competitors are responsible for ensuring that their phones have sufficient power to save their competition performances and to verify them at the competition office.
Overall Competition:

Only competitors who have performances in all four competition categories are considered for the overall competition.
In the event of a tie, the competitor with the higher ranking in the track race category will be declared the winner.
